Being an "ends justify the means" kind of person won't sway Erador or Frederica. Appealing to goodness won't sway Benedict or Anna. In other words, the right answer is dependent on both what you want to do, and who you're talking to. Giving them the answer you most identify isn't the way to go. Just like in real life, you need to figure out to best appeal to people who may not share your beliefs and/or goals. That means that, sometimes, the answer you unlock in town is not the right one for the person you're trying to to persuade. So, with that said, you need to choose the dialogue option that best matches their personality/goals/concerns. doing the right thing for the people above all else. People like Frederica and Erador are more about morality. Anna cares about immediate survival first and foremost. Benedict cares about power and long term success. People like Benedict and Anna are practical.
They all have pretty basic/easy to read personality traits. When trying to convince your party to go one way or another, be sure to listen to their thoughts and consider their personalities. Sometimes they have more information after you've talked to other people or after you've found something. Not only will you find more people to talk to, you'll find more items and money. This also applies if you're in Hyzante/Aefrost/anyplace with buildings. If you're in Wolffort Castle, that means leaving the castle (talk to the guard at the door) and talking to people in town.
Scout around the area before you try to convince people. I've had just one instance where I had to reload because a dialogue choice was a bit iffy. I have the feeling you're over thinking it. Is it the convictions message I see at the end of every fight? Am I supposed to get into a million fights? Can I see how many convictions I have? I just don't get it. I don't know what I need to change these people's minds but obviously just telling them the right thing isn't it. But they were, of course, getting on MY case about it being an important matter.Īt this point I'm fucking done with this game and can't wait for it to be over. but I just ran into yet another one where people are literally getting killed in the kingdom and of course my team wants to go say hi to someone who just woke up. Gave you and your teammates choices in the story.
